Connections
Connections are the building blocks of a care pathway. They define what can start a run, what each node can do, and how clinical data gets into MedFlow. Each one is named for the clinical or operational step it represents, not the technical call behind it, and falls into one of three kinds:
- Events start a run when something happens in a connected system, such as a new patient or a lab result. They feed event triggers.
- Automated actions run on a pathway node, such as creating an order or messaging a patient. See Automated actions.
- Data sources sync clinical data into MedFlow for search. See Data syncs.
